Roots of Nourishment: a new Monday series

A new Monday series with SERCIP and Ontario Health’s Indigenous Health Unit, pairing a Grandfather Teaching with a health focus and a hands-on activity. Next up: October 5.

Roots of Nourishment poster: a new workshop series, Mondays 10:30 to 11:45 AM at 218 Concession Street

Roots of Nourishment is a new Monday series with SERCIP and Ontario Health’s Indigenous Health Unit, pairing a Grandfather Teaching with a health focus and a hands-on activity. Sessions are held at KNCLN, 218 Concession Street.

Monthly workshops run on Mondays from 10:30 to 11:45 AM: Wisdom, on nutrition and diabetes prevention (September 14); Respect, on cancer screening and prevention (October 5); Courage and Bravery, on modifiable risk factors and SMART goals (November 2); and Honesty, on stress management and balance (December 7).

Two seasonal self-care sessions run on Mondays from 1:00 to 4:00 PM: Fall, with physical activity and chair yoga (October 5), and Winter, on sleep, rest and routines (January 11, 2027).

October 5 runs twice: Respect at 10:30 AM and the fall self-care session at 1:00 PM.
