The Kingston Native Centre and Language Nest respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

This account portal is limited to account profile details and program registrations; it does not collect child or youth intake information.

We collect the information you choose to give us — for example, your name and email when you create an account or contact the Centre, and registration status when you register for a program or event.

We use your information to operate your account, respond to your inquiries, provide the programs and services you request, and maintain your registration history.
Cookies & sessions
The account portal uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in. We count page visits ourselves, without cookies or outside analytics companies: each visit is stored as a one-way code made from the day and your connection, which cannot be turned back into you, and we keep counts, not names. We do not use marketing analytics.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with authorized staff and trusted service providers who help us operate the Centre, or where required by law.
Protecting your information
We take reasonable steps to safeguard personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to its use. Contact us any time to make a request.
Children & youth
Many of our programs serve children and youth. This website does not collect child or youth intake, guardian, medical, emergency-contact, eligibility, or Indigenous identity information. Those workflows require a separate consent and privacy review before release.
Third-party links
This site links to external websites, including partner organizations and video platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
